People with children without invitation can look for hotels near World trade center Metro. There will a markaz there. The day you get pass for masjid you can commute through metro.
- People who believe they will get everyday passes for main masjid or main area i.e mashaikh , talebaat etc, can look for accommodations in Deira, Abu Hail Al Rigga, Bur Dubai, Sheikh Zayed road. Normal hotels will be cheap but at the same time they will be very okayish .
(Deira has Saify Masjid and one can commute there from Rigga , Bur Dubai and Sheikh Zayed as well.
- Get a nol card for commuting with public transport. (MUST for bus and metro, for taxi one has to use cash or credit card) You can easily get it on metro stations. Need only recharge when needed. Keep at least 7-8 aed on card to commute.
- Every individual will get a sim card so get a basic package for minutes and data. Calling minutes will be less and more expensive so go for good data packages. I believe airport will give du sims to tourists .
- Google maps are a must must must. For public transport it's very important as it will tell you exact time and route for the bus or metro you're taking. Burhani masjid is near Stadium Metro Station - Lulu market is located there. The bus route from stadium metro to masjid should ideally take about 20 mins at least , I'm unaware of jamaat keeping transport from there at the moment.
People looking for cheaper accomodations can look for Sharjah area Sahara Center and cross border on foot and take a bus or cab to masjid. That border is close to masjid area. Or one can take a cab from Sharjah to Masjid on the day they have pass. It will charge you 20 aed for crossing border plus taxi fare.
- Keep yourself hydrated and keep shades /umbrella with you if your route requires you to be in Sun for a lot of time.
- Keep medicine essentials, one likely catches a fever /cold because of extreme temperature changes. From outside to AC. Keep electrolytes/ORS with you on travel.
- Avoid avoid avoid arguments with other travelers when you're in a hurry. This likely happens because of traffic in metros. From personal experience some people will just make a scene for nothing.
Dubai is safe but there will be a lot of scammers going around. Do not at all give sadaqa to beggars, it's illegal in UAE as UAE only gives charity through government. There will be a lot of desi men asking for help. Please ignore and don't give sadaqa because it's Moharram and one should give.
- Bear in mind for road Crossing you should wait for signal to close. There's a hefty fine for not following traffic rules.
- Masjid area is a highly traffic area, avoid cabs near masjid, opt for buses if possible.
- Sharjah or Ajman both do not have metros. Only Dubai has metro.
- Check your accommodation from/to masjid on Google maps for commuting through public transport. It will tell you bus numbers and times of the buses as well.
